Empowering Women and Youth Through Advisory and Mentorship Programs:

In an effort to boost the capabilities of women and youth in the agribusiness sector, AMDT recently collaborated with Kilimanjaro Nature Ripe in a strategic advisory and mentorship program. The event, held at Morena Hotel in Morogoro, gathered enthusiastic participants, including emerging entrepreneurs and farmers, who are eager to expand their knowledge and skills in agricultural practices and business management.

The highlight of the event was a special session led by Fatma Riyami, the Director of Kilimanjaro Nature Ripe. She shared valuable insights on agribusiness strategies, market access, and product value addition, emphasizing the importance of equipping women and youth with the necessary tools to thrive in the competitive agricultural landscape. Her mentorship provided a unique opportunity for attendees to learn from her extensive experience in managing a successful agribusiness company.

AMDT’s initiative to engage with industry leaders like Kilimanjaro Nature Ripe is part of its broader mission to support smallholder farmers, especially women and youth, by enhancing their skills and market competitiveness. This program not only facilitated learning but also fostered networking, allowing participants to connect with mentors and peers who can support their journey in agribusiness.

The event marked a significant milestone in building sustainable and inclusive food systems in Tanzania, showcasing the power of collaboration in transforming the agricultural sector and improving livelihoods.
